Jewish Warsaw Free Tour

Traces of a Vanished World: Reliving the Legacy of Resistance

ABOUT THE Jewish Warsaw Free Tour

This tour is operated by our partner Orange Umbrella Free Tour Warsaw.

Warsaw was once home to the second-largest Jewish urban population in the world. Over 30% of the city’s residents were Jewish before World War II — a vibrant, diverse community that shaped the city's culture, language, and identity for centuries. On this Free Walking Tour, you’ll follow the few remaining traces of Jewish life in Warsaw, guided by someone who knows the weight of history.

You’ll start where the medieval Jewish Quarter once stood, pass through Krasiński Park and Krasiński Palace, and trace the path of Nalewki Street, once a bustling Jewish hub, now mostly erased from the map.

See remnants of the Ghetto Wall, stop by the powerful Monument to the Ghetto Heroes, and pay tribute at the Umschlagplatz Memorial, where thousands of Warsaw’s Jews were deported. Along the way, learn about the life and legacy of Mordechai Anielewicz at 18 Miła Street — also known as the Anielewicz Bunker — and stop outside the POLIN Museum, a stunning modern tribute to 1000 years of Jewish life in Poland.

We promise, it’s a moving and meaningful tour, filled with resilience, rebellion, and the unexpected stories that continue to shape Warsaw’s Jewish identity today. This tour lasts about 2 hours.
